I’m doing my Senior Seminar on proving that Hunting Preserves are a positive addition to the hunting industry. I need to show evidence proving that hunting preserves are a positive asset and shouldn’t be looked down upon due to being inside a high fence. I am fully supporting raising deer and the end market of hunting preserves and I want to convince the audience of all the positive assets of hunting preserves. I'm sure all of you have dealt with the people that ask you why you raise deer and they can't believe you would sell them to be shot and that people would pay to shoot fenced in animals. My goal is to open the eyes of these individuals and give our deer farming and hunting market the best name possible like it deserves. Does anyone know of any peer reviewed articles or websites with graphs, charts, and information in regards to this topic. Thanks a lot

Do a search on here for "Why hunt high fence". There are a lot of good points of view on the subject you speak of!

Have you thought about the readily achievable conservation outcomes & increases in bio-diversity when land owners protect ,encourage & manage for wildlife. On well managed game reserves, managers not only know the relative abundance of game animals. The game manager will know the relative abundance & trends in all flora & fauna & can manage for these collateral benefits. If you talked to some of the larger game reserves over there they may let you use the indices they have produced on their own reserves & perhaps let you use their own property based game management plans. The benefits for conservation biology is measurable & I'm sure the larger reserves can provide evidence of this.Good luck.Sharkey
