My name is Dustin Coryn; I am currently working as an intern at Clam River Whitetails in Northwest Wisconsin and I am beginning the process of searching for full time employment. I will be graduating from West Virginia University in December of this year with a degree in Wildlife and Fisheries and a minor in Conservation Ecology. I have extensive agricultural experience and have gained an immense amount of knowledge about deer through this internship so far. The deer farming industry has proven to be something that truly interests me and I wish to continue working in. I am from Western New York however I am open to moving almost anywhere in order to secure a job in this industry. My cover letter and resume are attached to this post, please take a moment and take a look at them. Feel free to contact me at any time if you have any questions or comments, my phone number and email address is listed on my resume. I would greatly appreciate any feedback or opportunities you might have for me.

Thank you for your time-

Dustin Coryn

I have to admit, I am a little disappointed that out of the 116 people who have viewed this post, only 11 people have even opened my resume to take a look. Even more disappointing is the fact that nobody has any advice or input at all for me. I have frequented this site for quite a long time before joining and I know there are some great people on here who have a great deal of knowledge about the industry. Even if you don't know of any job openings or anything like that I would greatly appreciate any type of feedback you might have about my resume or ideas of where else I should look for opportunities.

Thanks again-

Dustin Coryn

Dustin, can you email me and tell me what you are looking for in the way of salary? I have plenty of Ag opportunities, which in part include work at my whitetail farm.

There was a new breeding facility looking for a mgr in New York. They told me they were looking to breed for the largest mainframe world record. Check out Nadefa site for more details. I may have some part time work for you in WI. 715-942-6440 or bobgrundman2@gmail.com

Phillip - I will send an email tonight

Bob- I am assuming that the job in NY is on Charles Bich's farm, I am already in the process of sending my information to him right now but thanks for the heads up anyways, and I would really need full time work to come back out here to Wisconsin but I will keep your information handy

Cervid: Deer Farming
We have two full time people but they are family members and we have a couple more that are hoping we can add them.

A lot of deer farms aren't big enough to employ someone full time. Texas has a lot of large ranches that do hire ranch managers in addition to full time help.

Wild Rivers- I understand that it is most likely going to be a tough time trying to find a full time job in this field. I am hoping that by starting the search this early I will be able to find something by January. I know that there are lots of opportunities in Texas however I would like to stay further North. However if the only jobs I can find are in Texas, I will go to Texas...

Grundy- I sent my information to Charles Bich in New York and thought it was quite promising, but he was not interested because I have another semester of school left. He told me to re-apply in January if he was still looking. Thought i'd let you know how things have turned out.

still searching...

I understand that this topic is a little outdated, but still maybe someone on the forum will find my story interesting. The fact is that I am a lawyer by training, but it was really difficult for me to find a job with a higher salary to cover the many costs. Then I turned to a professional resume writing company, as I found some of the best ones on this site https://edureviewer.com/best-legal-r...ting-services/. After solving all the issues with my resume for two weeks, I found an excellent job in a large company, so keep this decision in mind.

You have to think, it's hard to assess. I am considering changing jobs and am already checking job sites. Just click here and you will see many vacancies. I am going to check similar sites to find at least the average salary for my specialty.
