Dear Mr. Morris,

I am disappointed to see that Bass Pro has recently lobbied to Veto the Ag Bill in the state of Missouri.* I understand that your biggest and only concern was that of deer farming and hunting preserves in* Missouri.* I am a corn and soybean farmer from Iowa and owned a Hunting Ranch in Iowa as well.

It is clear from your website that you have chosen to support the HSUS and CWD fear mongering activists and in the process turned your back on a great number of hunting and farming patrons.* Just two years ago we outfitted our hunting lodge with a number of your home furnishing including leather furniture, bedding, and miscellaneous items from your store.*

Unfortunately, you have not been informed of the research and money that the captive cervid industry and the USDA have dedicated to CWD in an attempt to better understand the disease, how it is spread, and more importantly to develop a non-lethal CWD test and possibly a vaccine.** I am not aware of any money for research and development for CWD that the Missouri Department of Conservation or the HSUS has dedicated in hopes of finding a vaccine or live animal tests.

Where do you think many of the fish that swim in our lakes and streams come from . . . . our Department of Natural Resources has their own fish hatchery.* Because these fish are reared in aquariums and fish ponds, are you going to lobby to put them out of business?* How about the pheasant preserves helping to restore the population in the wild, maybe you would like to see the put out of business as well?

Just yesterday, I was traveling down the interstate a truck and trailer loaded with four wheelers and huge coolers passed me on their way to hunt out west.* Quite possibly they were headed to hunt in CWD endemic areas only to drag their carcasses home and dispose of them in the local ditches.** Are you aware if the Missouri Department of Conservation intends to have check stations this fall to check the coolers and disinfect the four wheelers?

Not sure if you are aware, but Wind Cave National Park in South Dakota, a high fenced national park, tore down the fences in 2013 and released 500 CWD exposed elk into the wild of Custer Park.* These animals had been exposed to positive findings of CWD for 15 years.* Out of 140 CWD tests from Wind Cave, 45 were positive.* Does this seem like good management to you and your employees???

I have attached a copy of the Canadian Food Inspection Agency's (CFIA) recent attempt to control the spread of CWD in Canada.* Remember, what happens in Canada will not stay there.* If this happens in the United States you can rest assured that the only whitetails you will find roaming the agricultural lands in our country will be behind fence, those that are actually monitored and tested and, hopefully one day, vaccinated for CWD. *

Before you take a stand such as this, I would hope you are better informed.* As an American citizen, we are allowed to choose how to hunt and where we hunt as long as it is in accordance with the law.* You should know this better than anyone AND you should support all hunting in this country.*

Sincerely,

Rhonda Brakke

I have been a bass pro customer for over 30 years. I called 1800 bass pro today and asked them to take me off of their mailing list and made sure they knew it was because of their stance on deer farming in Missouri. Let's all give them a call and ask to be taken off their mailing list and tell them you will never do business with them again as long as their stance stays the same on Missouri deer farming.

If every deer farmer would start to speak out you would see attitudes change in a hurry.* The American public has the lazy disease.* This type of stuff can be stopped.* We do not have to be ran over by self serving business or politicians.*

You can not buy shoes anymore that are made in America.* What would happen if people started walking into the stores and asking "do you have American made shoes?" and left when the answer was no.* You can bet within weeks they would be making shoes in America.*If you don't like the way things are going, stand up and fight!

I will be sure to send an email explaining my disgust with bass pro I'D ALSO LIKE TO KNOW WHERE THEY GET ALL OF THERE SCENTS IF NOT FROM CAPTIVE RAISED DEER, ELK, ETC .... Just a complete slap in the face of every American who believes they have property owner right! I'm so disgusted with them I will share with everyone I know!

I'd bet my left arm that Johny Moreofanass and his kid John Paul*have hunted on high fence ranches in Texas, Mexico and other places. Heck they probably own one.. What a puke. It amazes me how stupid these people can be biting the hand that feeds them. I outfit 150 pheasant hunters a year and I guarantee every one will here about this.
