Is NAEBA still registering elk?

I faxed an application for registration to them in early January and I have not had any response from them. I tried to call the NAEBA office, over a week ago, and no one answered the phone. I sent the Executive Director an email last week and I did not get any response from him.

Does anyone know what's going on at NAEBA?

Thanks!

David,

Yes, NAEBA is still registering elk with DNA profiling and also with the new purity test. I apologize for the delay but I have been told your request is being processed at the Kansas City office. Just as a reminder, the Nebraska main office receives it and depending on the request forwards it to the registration office in Kansas City. I can tell you the NAEBA office has been very busy this past week preparing for the March Mingle meeting, board meeting, and publishing the newsletter currently being sent to print. I apologize for the delay and I’m sure they will return your call soon.

I am confused why you would inquire about this issue on a public discussion forum… If anyone cannot reach the NAEBA office or Executive Director then I would have thought they would contact the president or the director that represents their region. After all, it’s a small association and members know someone on the board that can help them. This site has nothing to do with NAEBA operations. For example, if I have an issue with a rifle I purchased at Dick’s Sporting Goods, I would most likely contact that store or their corporate office… not inquire for solutions of a gun owners discussion page.

You also still have my cell phone number and personal email so I encourage you to please contact me directly for further discussion regarding this thread or any other NAEBA matter.

Hope all is well in the land of Tennessee,

Travis

Travis,

In regard to your second paragraph where you say: "I am confused why you would inquire about this issue on a public discussion forum… If anyone cannot reach the NAEBA office or Executive Director then I would have thought they would contact the president or the director that represents their region."

Travis, I did contact the Southern Region Director about another issue and he ignored that email so I had no reason to assume he would be responding to anything I send him.

I too am busy and I don't have time to contact all the people you mentioned so after three failed attempts to inquire about this issue and one other issue, I made a post on the Internet.

Thanks for the reply!
