We can't rely on only our leaders. They can only talk to so many people and when the media is against our industry, we have to share with people, and teach them the reality of what our industry means. An example is I had an old friend I haven't talked to in a long time, she found out I was raising deer and asked about CWD. She had been told by people she knows, (that are not deer farmers) that CWD spreads through our feed. I took the opportunity to educate her on how it was believed to be spread at that time. It is up to us to invite people out to see what we are about and teach them the truth that the DNR will not.
