Anthrax

Anyone ever have any dealings with anthrax in deer pens? I have always heardit will wipe out a ranch or kill all the deer in your pens. But i had a breeder buck and a doe died a couple yrs ago had them tested and my vet taking samples told me right when he got first blood sample it was anthrax asked if i still wanted to send it for testing because i would get quarintiened min 10 days unless another death. But those two were only ones that died buck was in one pen doe was in another and tests came back positive. Is that really odd or it happens that way more often than you hear about just two dead out of 2 pens each one had about 20 head in them plus fawns. Just wondering.
