I have heard since I have been around deer farming that the time to move bread does is in Feb. Is this just the right time before they are too far along to move?*

Bred Does can be moved as soon as 30 after breeding all the way up until just shy of there fawning. The two extremes are not my favorite. The best time to move bred does is in the second trimester (60-120 days post conception.) The reason for this is two fold. 1) the fawns are well established at this point and 2) they have sufficient protection within the doe as far as their physical position and such.

We normally move ours January 15 to February 15. The only problems we have had have been mule deer does losing fawns shortly after the move in mid February.

We usually move ours on about the same time as Josh recommended, 60-120 days post conception. We have successfully moved them up to two weeks prior to fawning but I won't do it unless I have to.
