Has anyone ever had something like this happen ?

Deer was growing fine, then Fri. May 10th he had a small

spot broken on velvet, within 2 days his beam swelled up and had split.

He did not bleed outside of velvet. Cause is unknown but appears metal tag

rubbed this area, might have bumped beam

I always put my metal tags on the bottom of the ear on bucks for that exact reason.

looks like it is broken. Does it flop around? Maybe should splint it up or cut it off or he may.

It`s possible the beam is dead and just full of blood . He must have ran into something or another deer swatted him on that beam. If it is broken it should be removed.
