I would assume many of you on here have used this auction site. How long does it usually take after your check is cashed by them till they contact you with information of your seller? Its been about 3 days since they've cashed my check and still no word. Normal?

It has taken up to 5 days for some stuff i have gotten.I imagine it all depends how busy todd and the staff is that week!

They make sure that the check does clear after it is deposited at their bank. Three days may be a little early, especially with the holidays. If you haven't heard anything by Monday I would send Todd an email. They are great at Whitetail Exchange and the auction site works perfect.

Like Jack said, they make sure the check clears the bank then the buyer and the seller will receive an email informing them the transaction is complete, Todd also sends out the check in the mail to the seller at that time.

Thanks for the help guys. Its been 3 days since its cleared. This being my first purchase on there I wasnt sure how it worked exactly. Thanks again. I will just wait through the weekend with the holidays.

I learned a lot when I started Whitetail Exchange. The biggest thing that I learned is how the US banking system works. It really is not what I thought it was as far as check cashing goes. As I understand it, here is what I have been told by every bank I have talked to.



Once I receive a check, I immediately deposit the check into the Whitetail Exchange account. On that day it shows the person who wrote the check, that is has been “cashed�. Cashed and “cleared� are two totally different things. (Yes they take your money immediately) It shows you that the money has been taken out of your account, however they put a 3+ day hold on most checks. I assume this is enough of a lag time for the bank to be able to make money on our money. If they hold everyone’s money for 3+ days, they have a LOT of money to play with. Banks even put a 24 hour hold on a money order now too.



I’m sure there has to be a banker on here that could correct me if I am wrong.

And his boss Scott makes jerky out of Hardcore and Ranger fawns and passes it around at auctions! These people are NOT right!



I hope everyone can see humor and know this was just a funny post to lighten up the dullness of the forums recently.

Scott the jerky was tasty and I expect to get more next week.

Yes Todd, I do. Fact is I just got official word today I will be going back sometime after the first of the year. No word on a date yet. I will be back in the air and flying the Boeing 747-400 all around the world again. I am pumped to be heading back out again.



Apparently world movement of cargo is really strong, so despite the gloom and doom some are painting, the economy is turning around. Hmmm, seems I said just a couple of months ago this would happen about now.

In the month of Nov my company did TWICE the projected amount of flying. They are expecting there to be NO DROP OFF after the first of the year either.

People should have been buying deer when the prices were soft, now things are rebounding and next year people will be saying, "I should have bought last year." Hmmm, was that not discussed a few weeks ago as well?

They ensure that the check does go through after it is stored at their bank. Three days might be somewhat early, particularly with the special times of year.
