I have a 3 week old buck fawn that I watched discharge the pictured bloody mucus tonight from his rectum.* The mucus is very sticky to the touch and does not appear to contain any stool.* I've never seen this before nor has anyone else I've talked with.* Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.* Thanks

He appears to be acting just fine, running around playing with the other deer.* I watch him feed on mom multiple times a day.

We found a similar stool in one pen, had vet look at what we could find and he found 1 egg in it.* We wormed everything, re vaccinated that pen etc. seemed to clear up

Bright blood like that is usually a small blood vessel that broke and is not an indication of worms or coccidiosis or disease.
