Hi,
Anyone here experienced serious water leak?
Due to last massive bill I checked the meter that is installed on the pavement outside our property - it spins like mad! Well, maybe not mad but still a lot of £ goes to the ground.
Yes, I contacted local authority but the earliest available slot is Tuesday next week, between 8AM and 1PM
This is how my meter looks like 74381212_2395733350553006_8934097987945103360_n.jp g
And with internal main tap closed it shows about 2.5 liters per minute. So about 4 cubic meters per day...
I don't see any pond or anything outside, pipe seems to be going under our concrete driveway (about 8 - 9 meters and then under the house as tap is on the other side of the house).
0. Did you ever see a faulty meter?
1. Is this plastic thing next to the meter a valve handle? I tried to slightly turn it (no luck) but don't want to brake it. At least it would be nice to close it during the night.
emergency plumber in Milton Keynes
2. I you had such situation, how did you pay for it? I hope that at least I will not need to pay for sewerage. They (Bristol Water) will be able to tell me more after sorting the leak out. Normally that would be more than 120£ per week
What is annoying, another company was digging a trench for fiberglass in the pavement nearby. Not sure what they were using but our entire house was shaking for a half a day
