We had one break his leg just below the knee. I cast it but after 10 days I didn't like that he was not using his leg so took the cast off and recasted it.
Today was five weeks and we took it off and it looks pretty good. Lots of bone has covered the broken part. We let it go in his pen and I think it will be fine. It is a bottle baby so we will be able to call it up for a check in the morning.
I know they will heal by themselves but I can cast a leg if I have too so why not help it along so it heals quick.
