Fawn Can't stand

Licensed Rehabber - TPWD - I have a fawn that was born Thursday early morning but has not ever been able to stand. It sounded like it had some respiratory clicking so I took it to the vet and it has been put on antibiotics in hopes that it just needed to gain strength to stand. Fawn weighed 2 lbs which also tells me it is smaller than normal. It was a single fawn birth. I have been feeding ever 2-4 hours and I feel like I am seeing slight improvement but not really sure since it still won't stand. It tries really hard and kind of moves around on it's knees. Any hope for this fawn?

Get a shot of BO-SE for it as that will help a premature fawn. Keep feeding it and it will be better soon in my opinion. Use Prichard nipples so you don't get milk in the lungs. If you get milk in lungs it will die. What milk are you giving??

I have always used DuMOR kid milk replacer because it can be purchased at feed stores and Tractor Supply and easy for people to buy who want to donate it to us. Most of the fawns that come in for rehab are between 5 day - 14 days old.
