Cervid: mule deer,whitetail,elk,goats,bighorn & stone sheep & Alaskan dahl sheep
Valley Vet will work well. Problem is all these antibiotics need a Vet prescription to buy this stuff on line.

Cervid: White tail deer
Fawn with diarrhea

I have a 2 week old fawn who is eating good and running around playing but has severe diarrhea have cut back on milk nothing is working need help please

What can use without a prescription for ecoli.. we dont have access to a vet .. any thing over the counter that I can buy ? Pretty sure our fawn has it .. mucus poop with specks of blood and act like he is straining to poop .. other then that acting ok .. eating playing drinking bottle and water?

Joyfaith if there is blood it may be Coccidia. Which you would treat with Corid which I believe does not require a scrip

Iím sorry for the late response - Iím new & just joined this evening.

Just in case you ever encounter this situation again here are some helpful tips - 1. if you can, get a colostrum replacer - his/her diet should consist only of this until the diarrhea has subsided, 2. plain, organic yogurt with *live active cultures* and probiotics as well, 3. pumpkin works wonders - 1tsp per 8oz bottles, 4. hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! if the tips of the fawns ears are curling, its a sign that he/she is dehydrated. You can simply prepare a bottle with unflavored pedialyte in place of water.
