I have a 2.5 week old doe fawn that isnt doing well. She was fine and doing well tell Wed night when she started getting loose. Then yesterday got really loose and decided to cut back on milk and added pumpkin everyother bottle and then yogurt in the other bottles and electrolytes in all bottles. Also gave her 1cc of penicillin yesterday and today as well. She now seems to be a bit lethargic and her crap is a light brown in color. Also seems a bit unstable well standing. She still is eating and wanting to eat.

Is there anything else I should do or keep doing what Im doing and hope for the best?

See my post on here regarding the fawn with scours.* That should firm up stool.* Make sure you let her walk around and exercise at each feeding.* That will strengthen their muscles and tendons.* Laying around the entire day could allow the muscles to atrophy.*

Also try buying calf manna at Feed store or Tractor Supply. Soften it up with warm water to make paste (like canned cat food) and add some of that mixture, pumpkin and the milk you are feeding all in the bottle. Should stiffen her up.

Same as spring creek but we always broke the pellets in half and stuffed them in her cheeks. After a couple days of doing that she'll be munching outta your hand and you will have pellets coming out the back end of her. Leave some in a bowel in her crate.

Thanks for the feed back guys. Im very sorry to say thay I lost her and really sick about it. She was actually starting to go more normal Sat night and Sunday early morning was looking better but later in the morning she was out of it but gave her a bottle water with electrolytes and she perked back up and was looking good. Gave last bottle at 1130 Sunday night when she looked wven better and Monday morning she had passed away. I think I messed up by not getting enough liquids in her. Just makes me sick.
