I checked into RR 400 and talked to some reps, and here in Wisconsin we cant get it. They told me it is really limited because of how new it is.

David I still can't help it. Everytime I see a new product, I have to check into it. Its not very often when you see a deer product with 16% fat. I think it could be useful in a grain mix.

Jack, Record Rack is owned by Cargil and is a division of Sportsman Choice wildlife feeds. They are nation wide. If you google Record Rack Sportsman Choice you will find there web site. I just can't seem to get a hold of anybody to help with info on the new Record Rack 400 pellet. It is 18% protien, 16% fat and 14% fiber.

Paul, did you find anyone that carries this stuff. My tractor supplies carry record rack but not this stuff. I am looking to change to a new pellet. I changed feed mills a will back and the old protein pellet I used the new mill couldnt get it as a pellet so its been fines instead. So as you could imagine the deer push it around. This seems like this would be the ticket. I could get this and then my regular feed minus the protein ration and then just mix them together in a cemet mixer to get it even in the feed.

Jared I still haven't found any info on it. It has been difficult to get in touch with anybody from Record Rack. If I find out anything I'll let everybody know.

Paul

My record rack dealer (Shane out of Brookfield, Missouri) told me about 3 weeks ago when they came out with RR400 that it was a Texas feed only. He also said it would probably not be offered in the north anytime soon. I said I want some shipped from Texas and he said they could not do that. We all need to keep on them and maybe they will make it available to us in the north. I feed the textured feed and then mix in the Golden Nuggets. The deer love the Golden Nuggets and they are 14% fat.

Paul my out of waynesburg told me I couldnt get it either, but he did send me this. Said he had guys using this instead of the RR400". I ran the numbers on it at the rate that it was suposed to be mixed with the different grains and I came to $440 a ton.

It appears as though the fat ratio is very low in this feed. Isn't that the plus of this Record 440?
