sick doe's

We are new to deer farming and looking for some opinions. 2 of our 3 doe's are losing weight, and coughing. Also, the one has scours. We have treated them for pneumonia are giving them all the fresh leaves and ruffage they want each day. The guy we bought them from has been helping us out but he seems stumped too.

What does everyone give their animals with these symptoms? We have tried a few and I would just like some other opinions.

Thanks!
Thanks from Karl

Are you feeding them corn? I almost killed my deer by giving them too much corn, it causes acidosis. Pumpkin is always good for their digestive system. try canned pumpkin like you'd use for a pumpkin pie. I usually just make it a part of my bottle feeding to help digestion. if you can get them to eat some fawn paste. Coughing is not good, I'd hit them with some Draxxin.

They are getting an 18% mixed ration. We are thinking maybe worms so we are running wormer meds now. Draxxin is spendy and I don't think they are to the point of using it. They are still eating so we will see what the wormer does.

Thanks.

You should be able to give them zuprevo? That's similar to Draxxin and cost about 1/3 of the price
