Thanks Eldon. My pens are small so he didn't have to wear himself out too much.

As of today,he still has his antlers. What's the status of your buck's antlers?

Antlershed Feb 13th 2015 04:55 AM

Wow looks good. Are you going to put those antlers on a mount when they come off? 7 of my 10 are shed out. In fact I am mounting a set of sheds this morning. That's the benefit of doing my own mounts, I can do as many as I want with minimal costs, lol. Let me know if you ever want those sheds mounted and you don't already have a taxidermist, I usually have extra capes and I will do it for you cheap, since your a fellow PA deer farmer, lol.

Wow, none of mine shed yet.* I was thinking about mounting them. *I sold a doe to a local farmer / taxidermist and he mentioned he would do it because I sold him the doe fawn for a good price.* I don't know if he's ever done one from a set of sheds before though.*

Sent you a PM about how I do my shed mounts in case your curious.

Arrowed1 Feb 13th 2015 11:17 AM

If it goes like years past. Our mule deer will shed in late march and our whitetails in early April. The only exception is stockers we buy from other farms here in Minnesota usually shed much earlier.

redgolds Feb 13th 2015 03:08 PM

I have 1 out of 4 that shed. The rest should shed before the end of february..

Headley Feb 13th 2015 05:02 PM

Wicked Whitetails Feb 13th 2015 07:00 PM
