Axis deer?

I'm looking at starting a deer farm in Texas and i have tons of questions, that this site has helped with. I have learned that there is a lot of regulations regarding farming whitetails. Are there regulations for Axis, Red deer, or Elk? and which has a better market? Any help would be great thanks in advance

I will send you a PM, I have a good friend in TX who would gladly talk your ear off with advice! He is a good contact if you need animals too.

Cervid: Whitetail
Red deer and Elk are regulated by TAHC in Texas. Axis and black buck do not h ave the same requirement. Look on Texas Animal Health Commission's website.
