A wild yearling buck can jump like its got rocket boosters. The 3 +year old wild sway belly bubbas don't quite sail through the air with greatest of ease, but a wild yearling buck can get some serious air and if well practiced at jumping field fences will go right over 8' especially in an area with shade clothe where he can see the top edge defined.

I have also seen and owned dogs that would bag up and drop milk within 48 hours if around baby critters when they were not pregnant. I guess they just have such strong motherly instincts it takes over their milk producing hormones. I don't know if this could be possible in deer.

Antlershed it is connected to the wild as well as a buck pen. I'm with Bell on the possible milk production and a false pregnancy impression . I'll keep an eye out tho.

This thread is getting a little slower now, we must be near the end of fawning up north, but not yet in full swing down south. I have one more adult doe to fawn, but I unfortunately won't be done when she goes, looks like three of my four fawns from last year are going to have sometime later this summer. I just don't have the pens available to separate doe fawns by themselves, most years they don't fawn when with button bucks, but this past year 3 were with my big breeder and he must have got 2 of them. Then I had one with the buck fawns and she is showing a giant belly too. She will fawn soon, she is BIG! just don't want to have to bottle feed any newborn in August, I'll be praying for good young momma's.

Matt

* We also only have one more doe to give birth. All our fawns this year are sired by our Hardcore/Reno sires, Vinny and Pork Chop. Pork Chop*is now owned*by Brent Thomure in Mo. *As of today, we have 24 fawns, 11 buck fawns and 13 doe fawns.

*My wife is bottle feeding 10 as of now, and most likely 2 more.

It was very easy to*identify them this year, the fawns arrival was every couple days.

I am thinking those might not be so great. But I tell you what I can do to help you out. I can limit your loss and take one of those off your hands for you. I won't even charge you to do it!

Congrats!

Thanks Roger those are the only 2 fawns we tagged out of our 21 fawns... I would sell you a fawn but we changed our status from certified herd to monitored herd... So were just raising deer for our hunting preserve. So whats so special about them fawns Roger? The Flees Bigshot doe?

Well Ryan I would have liked one of those. I am considering adding a couple does to the program this year.

I do very much like that Bigshot doe. I also like Slick on the Romeo with J101 in there. I like the outcrossing as well.

Just from a pure "stacking" standpoint I like it. Superimpose the rack of Bigshot over the top of GD Romeo's rack. Love the layout.

As I say I am interested in adding a doe or two. But she will have to meet certain criteria. This doe would have been considered closely.

They will do well for you. Breed them right!

I have a few straws of 28 Gauge*up at GLSS I think the addition of 30" wide and 15" G2's would be good for there pedigree
