Jack: Very interesting site . Do them Bighorns require that tall of a fence or just state regulations. You new site should help your sales. Good Luck.

Pure bighorns need eight feet and are treated like whitetail with that type of fencing..* I keep my hybrids in 48 inch field fence and have not had one jump out.* Put even if they did my outer*fence is eight feet so I would always have control of them.

Being the only deer farmer in Montana I really keep them for my own pleasure just like my elk.* I've always called this my big hobby because we can't harvest our stock which is the purpose of raising these animals.

Charlie,

We have to sell them all out of State.* I try to sell all stock when they are less than a year old.* Just doesn't make since to me to raise them up when most places pay so little on them.* Because we are out of the way I sell on the cheap side just to move them.* Whitetail deer don't sell well for me at all so it's a good thing we have a large family.*We like whitetail meat. *We will reduce our whitetail numbers to a looking level for fun for Scott and myself.

Some of the stock like mule deer, goats*and hybrid sheep sell very well and we get reasonable prices for them and sell all we want.
