August 2009 Updates

Here are what should be the last of the pics for the season from our place. The bucks still have some black tips but they are getting close enough to being done this should be the end of the pics for 2009.

And here are the last pics of Updraft for the season. I appreciate everyone's patients with my posting pics of him this season. I just am really proud of how he has turned out for us.











Make note of Hardcore's grandma being in the pedigree of Updraft.



There are some auctions coming up that will have 2009 doe fawns from Updraft, and there will be does bred to Updraft, as well as a few straws of semen from Updraft will be in the Top 30 sale for next falls breeding season. Semen for this fall breeding season is $2500 and there are a handful of straws left yet.

Roger, is it just me or is Updraft a little fuzzed up. Maybe thats just him. I know for me I'd be watching him close. Had a buck fawn fuzzed up tonite, so he got " loaded up". He looks great, just thought you might want to watch him if that is not the norm for him.

Michael, I was looking at that also. I looked back at some pics of him from last year at this time and he had the same thing. He acts normal as I can tell. But thanks, now I am really stressed instead of semi stressed.

I know it was 57 degrees this morning here, so it is probably just cold in WI. Good summer day is like 70 anyway in WI, right??

Reed, 55 here Sunday morning. Now the pnuemonia is kicking my azz... Lost one. Started with BT and she died from pnuemonia. The 35+ degree temp changes are killing me.



Roger, glad to hear it is normal for him. I'm just a little extra sensitive these days around here. If they are fuzzed they get the works.....

Here they are! Looks like everyone is about done growing. We have a couple that started shedding out today when we put post in our breeder pens. Last week Hi Tine broke off a ton of points on his right side. He was looking sick so we decided to remove his antlers. They weighed 27lbs. He is doing quite well now.
