Jay Don I missed your question sorry:( picture 4-5-7 are all Fallow deer they are spikes their first year.

I am going to bred my pieds again this year to top of the line names...I love them because they always come out different.Do you every come towards Pittsburgh PA?

All the deer are BEAUTIFUL!!! Your right - I don't want to know what happens to the "bad ones" - I can't even imagine that they are bad :(

We keep our fawns close in the garage for a few days (PIC 1)! Then move them to the big fawn barn (PIC 2) where they are 2 per stall. This way the girls can help as it is easy to handle 2 at a time -vs- 30 at a time like we used to :)

Here is Jade (DOG) keeping a close eye on one that needed extra TLC and we needed to keep her where we could watch her 24/7. Jade will NOT let ANYONE near the rabbits so I knew that would be the perfect place for the fawn

Here is my Mom! She flew down to help with fawns for awhile. This particular day reminded me just how much I take for granted what we do. We had a yearling doe struggling to have her fawns. We ended running her in the barn and sedating her to pull them. My Mom said that it was the single most precious day (aside from giving birth to her daughters) of her life. She will never forget that day as long as she lives. She is pictured here with the twin doe fawns we pulled and saved while they were about an hour old.

Here is a sweet doe that followed me forever grunting so I stopped the Ranger and got out to love her up. Next thing I know, she decided to lay down and deliver. She literally had those fawns 10 feet from me, proud as a peacock! Little triplet Hardcore babies :)

Holly...

I got to help deliver one this year...It was cool I went down at 11:30 at night to tell her good night and see if she had fawned...Nothing so I told my son we would come back down later.I lifted her tail to see if she was dilating ect...There was a little mucus...She kept licking my hand and laid down to push... it was her first baby...She used my feet to push against with her back legs and out came our baby buck 20 minutes later...He is momma raised and we can still pet him and do everything with him:)

That is so neat! How adorable. It seems I end up having to help a few does each year and been able to save them all accept one of triplets that was already gone when we got him out. That is cool that you didn't have to sedate her. There has only been one doe I didn't have to sedate, the others had such complex issues there was no choice.

SWEET!!!

Yeah, Michael. It makes a mother feel pretty sad when her girls can't wait to start school because they are sick of working :(

I would trust those 2 girls with anyone's fawns. They already have giving shots, lactated ringers, pulling fawns and working with stubborn ones down pat! I don't know what I'd do without them! At ages 6 and 10, I think they could pretty much handle the whole works from start to finish!

Congratulations Holly , sounds like two special daughters. And I think that is Great. Allen

This thread is AWESOME :) I LOVE looking at all the pics. Reed68 - thank you for starting this :) I think your daughter is a jewel! How sweet is she!!! Tell her to continue taking good care of her babies :) I want updates!!!!

Holly-WOW you have a lot of babies!! I am jealous!! The story about your mom helping deliver - well, my heart melted.

To all who posted pics - BEAUTIFUL :) I am really enjoying this :)

My 4 yr. old son Kaden was playing around in my fawn pen --"climbing trees like Spider Man " he said.
