Rj your bucks look very typical nice deer.
Sam whats in the water over there.
Imagin if all that blood to the club went straight to tine length... Robo deer

Son of Rolex and Fear Factor

This is our oldest deer as some of you know I'm new to this. This is going to be a funky set of antlers in my opinion. He looks like he is going to have 3 main beams on the left side with a drop tine.

Here's a couple we pics from a week or so ago for you guys that aren't stalking bucks on facebook.

First is a late born 2 year old that isn't quite perfect from fighting through the fence after he shed but he's almost perfectly matched side to side. Since he was late born to a double Rolex doe yearling he was bottle fed and we are working on taming him up before EHD season so we can watch him close. His shorter brow was 14"+ when pic was taken and rumor is his brows have grown another couple inches. I'm planning on backing up my doe yearlings to him and drawing semen on him for my personal use just in case something happens to him.

Blackout had EHD last year and started out a good bit behind on both weight and antlers from where he was last year but he's still putting another 5-6" width every year and is a solid 29" inside, but we are pretty sure he's going past the 30" inside mark. He's had over 16" tines every year measured after shedding and should have had much longer last year but he damaged them July 15th.

Payoff

Those Brows are INSANE Travis. Never seen anything like it...That long and clean!

On Monday night the 26th of June 2017 it was a high of 68 so we decided to knock Payoff down and cut off the club. Whenever you knock a buck down in velvet you worry about him breaking something off so we decided to dart and immediately leave the pen hoping he would just go to the back and lay down. We used M/K and he went down perfectly. Laid his head gently on the ground and went to sleep. When I walked up on him he took my breath away! He was big! We used a stretcher and took him to the barn to work on him.

We had the vet start an I.V. and then started on the club. We bungy corded it first and then pre-cut with a scalpel and then cut with a saws-all. Then we banded it with a bander the vet brought and removed the bungy cord. As it bled we cauterized it and put blood-stop and aluma-shield on it. We also gave him a shot of antibiotics as a precaution. It went perfect and we took a few measurements. We put him back in his spot, reversed him, and laid lots of towels under his antlers for when he woke up.

We have had a few big deer including his sire payday. But this is the largest deer we have ever had at 3 years old, and by far the largest in June. He was 36 inside and had all kinds of round mass. His g2 on the right was 13.5 and the left was 12.5. And they haven't begun to grow. His beams were nearly 30 inches already. He had an 8x8 mainframe and was 29x29 total. I would say he was at least in the mid 400's gross already.

Brian reported today that he was pushing again. He said he looks like he has put a couple inches on his tines. I will get more pics in a couple weeks. If he gets the Payday tine length he is gonna be pretty nice! ;)

Sam that purchase of Pay Day sure paid off for you. I still kick myself for not bidding you up on him. I sure wanted that stud, but had too many irons in the fire at the time and let it slip away on me. Congrats my friend!

Thanks Roger. He has been a true gift. I cant wait to see how they all finish up!

Thanks Sam. Northern Yankee was 500" in velvet and I don't think I was this pumped! When you start chuckling and say wow out loud when they walk up to you you know you got something. I knew he was going to be pretty by his yearling rack but he didn't waste any time making it clear he didn't want to go to the preserve! I don't care if I never sell a straw I'm drawing him to keep him available for my program.

Payoff is an absolute monster! Congrats! You cannot go wrong with the Maxbo Beyond Control line!! I've got a stout Maxbo Beyond Control daughter that is killing me, she looks like she might have a fawn yet but going on 3 and hasn't given me a fawn yet. She's out of the sister to that Big Time buck Shannon Thiex posted a pic of a few years ago.

Thanks Travis. I hope your buck and old Payoff get tine length like the ole man himself. 19 and 18 inch g2s are pretty good. Top to Bottom, Left to Right, or Front to Back, he looks good. Come on bucks push them on up up up. I love tine length!...LOL...These would have been fun to pick up but my son beat me to them:p
