I was wondering what type of food helps the most with the tine length. I am a deer farmer and can get nice mass but the tine length needs a bit of work. Any advice would be appreciated.

What are you feeding your deer, we started with ADM but thinking about going to something feed mill custom.

I've been feeding build a buck with antler Max. It's a mix from our feed mill. I won't say it's the best food available. Bit it is a good food. It's a mix from Purina and whitetale institution. You can check it out it at Knk Feed in Richland PA.

I don't believe you need anything special for feed. I fed 80%-90% Record Rack 16% with the remainder being cracked corn and none of my bucks lacked tine length. I tried to upload pictures but this page isn't working correct. Look at Blackout and Sampson in the previous edition of Mainframe. Blackout was about 50pounds off his weight with sloughing hooves most of the year and his longest tine is >17", Sampson's Brows are >15" both in hard antler not velvet before they shrink about 15%. I will say that a higher fat/protein diet is cheaper to feed because of the difference in feed intake.

Build a buck from knk is a decent feed. Mark Hershey farms has the harry strawser blend which we have been feeding for over 8 years. Great feed and consistent. Cheaper than knk also. Besides feed and genetics clover is another big part in getting the most out of your genetics

I thank you all for the info. I'm gonna change my diet just a bit. And see how it goes. I was feeding Mark Hershey when I first got into this. But it was a mix that was from stephy. I only switched mills cause I'm in Berks and it was a Hall. To mark Hershey. I would like to post some pictures. But not quite sure how yet. Lol. Thanks again
