Been looking into alternative markets. Does anyone know how much albino whitetail deer breeding stock are going for? Has the price stayed up on them or has it softened as well?

Are you referring to white Whitetails? Albinos have pink eyes and are a gene mutation so do not reproduce more albinos. White Whitetails are a separate genetic strain and have dark eyes. It is definitely a niche market.

Wrw, what are your prices on those fawns? I was also thinking about adding some white deer, still with fars though, whats the market like? Are they selling good and do the bucks sell higher then the brown with the same score? Thanks

Thanks for the answer WRW, but not talking about white whitetail deer. Talking about true albinos ...pink eyes, pink ears, no pigmentation whatsoever. Does anyone have any and what's the price on them? Thanks in advance.

As far as I know, there is no market for true albinos. They are as inferior as they come, and have shown to have no expectation of antler growth. The reproduction rates are very low, to pass albino traits to their offspring

The whites and piebalds have shown to carry there market and the prices have remained strong. I have been raising whites and piebalds for 9 years, with much success. Semen prices are still holding strong as long as the genetics are proven producers.

I know Gary has some quality stock at Wild Rivers. Damien has some of my stock at True Country. And of course, I have some deer available, and straws of some of the best whites and piebalds ever grown.

Thanks for your input wvdeerman. I am still intrested in only true albinos and have found a couple of farms that have around a 25% rate at passing the trait. They seem to be vigourous for the most part and healthy. It's definately on the ground floor though and I don't know if they are worth the $5,000 price tag for fawns.

We have several white and piebalds for sale give us a call. We have one of the oldest and largest resource herds available. They are bred to be very healthy and wide, which usually is what the down side of these type of deer are. 715-942-6440 or, [email protected]. And we beat any competitors price.

fars, in my opinion...and it is my opinion only, $5000.00 is way out of line for an albino fawn. But, I don't have that kind of money to invest, nor is it my passion to have an albino,

Here is the way I think about things. I have a deer farm for ME !! I do this for ME and me only !! If I can make enough money to pay the bills and keep the farm running then so be it. If I can walk out in my pens and not feel disappointed, then that's why I do what I do. If you want albinos then damn it, get your albinos. Enjoy them, breed them and try to make money from them. If it works then wahoo!! If it doesn't work, then you still have memories.

Ten years ago, A LOT of people, and I mean A LOT of people, told me I was crazy for trying to grow trophy piebalds. You know what, I did it. I would like to think that some of the piebald market today, is because of some of the things that I did. BUT, I did it for me and I have no regrets.

Grundy, why would you want to lower your prices to beat someone? To me, this isn't a used car. I am proud of my deer and will not deviate from my price for no one for no reason. If you don't hold your deer to a higher standard, no one else will !!

We have pure white fawns every spring.I know brown bucks grow huge racks and are great to look at but when people come to see my deer the white bucks are always a special treat. To me a 180'' white buck is 10 times prettier than a brown twice the size. You all put a ton of money into those big browns and now everyone has them and they still aren't as pretty as the white bucks.Maybe you should bye some whites and see how big you can grow them . Then see how visitors to the farm look right past them big browns. We have 3 white doe bred to a big grandson to Maxbo xl and one bred to a X-Factor son.We are all sold out of semen but will be drawing more this November .But we may have a extra fawn in the spring. At February Midwest Select sale lot 52 was a white buck fawn .He sold for $6.250 NOT BAD .Post me if you would like to get a our waiting list. You can get one for less than the price of some of straws of brown semen in your tank. We are in New York state so we can ship to most states.

We also have whites of all ages and sizes. If anyone is interested contact us and let's talk! Fawns are $750. We also have waiting lists.

We are expecting to have some white fawns this spring from a 165" 2yr old

white bucks

I love those white bucks.I raise white deer also and i think they are much prettier than browns with much larger racks any day.

We have been pushing genetics on our whites and pieds or the past five years. We have been stacking width and fast maturing inches on color then we took that and stacked width and fast maturing inches on top and bottom on top of my color foundation. now this year were breeding the federal express/Griffiths brothers line into the top side with a yearling I have growing that is absolutely huge. He will be the biggest yearling ive ever had it looks to be shaping up that way. Last year we had one of the prettiest white bucks He was a true symmetrical 6x6 with not a cm of an extra and was 24 wide that I ended up selling as a breeder. I love the colored side and now I love throwing genetics at it.

OK.how is this for a genetic mutation. Pure albino pink everything, feet included. And is a monster . He is taller and bigger framed than Any of my other deer. And I mean body wise. And his rack. Well you tell me

I have a favor to ask all on this forum. Can you all help me find.im looking for the biggest albino buck in the state of PA. Still alive of course.
