During this fawns 2nd week of life, I noticed it was walking through things instead of around them and bumping right into stuff. I also noticed her itching her nose a lot. She knocked a little piece of skin off her nose when she was scratching it with her hind hoof. Her nose was swollen and I was able to gently squeeze some puss out of it. Her eyes turned white a couple days later. They are not foggy at all though. I started her on sub q injections of penicillin 1.5cc for 5 days, along with probiotics. Thinking the infection settled into her eyes, I had high hopes her vision would return and the white in her eyes would go away once the infection cleared. Her nose healed up perfectly but her eyes still remain white. She is not walking in circles. This may be cataracts. Suggestions?

Morning Jim! She could have very well been born blind and the infection in her nose gave me false hope that it was something that could possibly clear up w/treatment.
