Does anyone have a good product to handle fawns when they need their boosters??? Mother Raised and bottle babies...

It wasn't bad getting flogged by a few...But this is getting ridiculous...

And they are either getting stronger or I am getting older???

Have you tried a fawn cradle? They just dangle their little legs & you can put a strap across their back. If you go to the AD section on here - BB Genetics sell them.

Thanks everyone...

Last I heard the fawn chute from Kentucky wasn't ready yet...So I figured someone else had something.

Bruce I with ya on that one...

I never knew deer had six legs ...till you grab a hold of Two and get kicked by four more...How the hell do they do that???

I can imagine trying to stick them leg into those holes after a few weeks old!

My fawns get 3 shots at 12 weeks then 2 at 16 weeks...

I think... They are going to be way to big to get them into a cradle...

If someone that sells them can show me they work... I'll make it worth their time!

What is everyone else doing???

I've done it the hard way for years but...There's got to be a better way...

Paintedmeadows- Sorry in advance, but I am still laughing at your post!!! Those little rascals are quite limber, hah? LOL

We actually just run them through the regular Mamma Deer Handler on the tightest setting and it works great.

I'm just sitting here imagining you stalking the fawns down in a scuffle and coming up from the dust with your clothes ripped to shreds, LOL!!!! Been there, done that.

PS- I am curious as well now at the procedure everone else uses to do the regular 3 month run through.

Holly...That's what we do... :)laugh...

say are you ready...

grab the next one:eek:... get whomp stomped:eek:...

get the shots done:D...

take the last few kicks:eek:...

let the fawn go:p...shake your head:eek:...

and grab the next one:D.

When you look at a fawn they look so cute and innocent...grab a hold of and and it's like having a tiger by the tail...I take all the hits being careful not to hurt them

Yeah, they don't look so darn cute when you walk away with a rip through your flesh.... been there and done that too :D

Too funny!

You just need to dress like a hockey goalie. It might be a little harder to catch them with all that padding on though. You could go in without the skates. Rick

We don't have much snow/ice here in Texas so ice skates and skis not so many people have; however, roller skates should work well (a few times anyway- till the sand locks them up)

Funny????? I thought everyone was serious - I'm gonna get me some of them snake chaps. Hope they reach up high -bout to my waist

:)I just got done with my fawns vaccinations and state tagging friday. Here is 3 years of wear and tear.

I don't know if I can get one more year out of them. Some of the big fawns go thourgh

the drop, but the smaller ones you just got to get hold of them and take your *** kicking.

If anyone needs a used fawn handling uniform I got one for sale:D

That's...funny...Thanks for sharing ...You must be doing something right there isn't much blood on them... LOL

I normally donate a little...Those 12 and 16 week boosters can be hell.

Hey Deeronfarm, them look almost bran new - I've seen worse on school kids. You ain't pulling our legs - R U?

:DI tryed to get wife to put on E-bay

I though some kid would pay $ 100 or more for them, but she won't do it .

I can even get her to clean them up for next year.So I think that pair is done.

I was in a store one year at Christmas time

An older man & his wife were shopping ,looking at jeans and he said to her, look here are some that look like there new.

Scott. you can keep the chaps !!!!! Just send me a CUP !!!!!! They butt hard but KICK even harder !!!!! LMAO !!!!

I run mine through the Papa chute. It's not perfect, but it catches them. I actually set mine beyond the tightest factory setting-those of you who have a Papa probably know what I'm talking about. So far, no problems.

If I would have video'd some of our past adventures, ya'll would fall plum out. The best was me catching and holding two yearlings, and my brother in law sawing them off with a saw. I did that in my mid 20's, and dont think I will try again.
