I thought it would be interesting to hear what some of you are experiencing/ seeing in and out of your pens with rut approaching us. Feel free to share what behavior oddities you have seen.
November 1st 1:00am I noticed my breeder buck who is only a yearling pacing a side of the pen facing a direction that had no doe action. He started scraping fence side like he was wanting out. Moments later I saw him trying to overturn the nearby water trough! This is my first go around with an antlered breeder so I found it interesting. Upsetting but still interesting. What other stuff might I possibly witness fellas? And what is your strangest encounter?
