I can not believe the level the global warming nuts will stoop to. They are blaming the severe winter storms on global warming. They are trying to change their buzz word to climate change. They must think everybody is an *****. This is nothing more than a money game for they academiacs to get funding for research. I am convinced that time will prove this to be one of the biggest waste of money of our generation.

The farmers almanac predicted a cooling of the earth and a strong winter before it happened. I put alot more faith in what they say than the global warming crowd. This whole cap and trade mess, which is based on global warming, is pure ********. Please excuse my ranting but I am sick of this junk.

at least we go a new holiday out of it, "Earth Day" we celebrate by burning tires on main street and letting the pick-up truck run all day long.

I think that is a great idea. Maybe if we could organize a nationwide tire burning down here Al Gore would choke on the smoke. The tree huggers here have no shame.
 
Everything works in a circle. it gets hot, it gets cold. it snows alot, we only get a little. Round and round and that goes for everything. Even womens fashions. LOL
 
Jerry Falwell before he died preached a sermon titled The Bankrupting of America, had to do with Al Gore and his global warming and the green initiative.. it will put industry out of bussiness in America
 
We wholeheartedly agree on the global warming fiasco. If you ever watch John Stossel's new program he had a bit on it about all this government aid going to some "green" window company. Turned out the company was owned by the husband of someone on Obama's green energy task force. It is just way for these folks to make money - Al Gore included. He jets around all over the place on his private plane, but then claims he buys "carbon offsets" - from a company he owns!!!! Not too long ago I heard a piece on the radio about the San Francisco airport. They have kiosks there that you can calculate your "carbon footprint" for any particular flight. Then you can PAY to have someone plant trees to offset your carbon footprint for the flight. Just swipe a debit or credit card and it was something like 10 - 15 dollars. The group is some conservation group that plants trees somewhere in northern Cal. I wonder if you can visit your tree :)????? Geez - give me a break!!
 
I am told that under a carbon offset system my 480 acres of nature would pay me 20-30 thousand a year if sold to a polluting company
 
I, (in southern Oklahoma) am covered with at least 8 inches of snow today. I have seen more snow this year than the last ten years put together. We have had 20+ days this winter with temps in the teens ALL day. Seems alittle different to me. ???????
 
there is one of the first settlements in north america in Nova Scotia, Louisbourg records from the 1640's show the average temperature was 6 deg.f lower than 2000 average, all the time growing up I can remember being told that the "scientists" were saying we were heading into a new Ice age....... waiting
 
you cant deny the melting of icebergs, ice cap dissapearing each day! so it just getting warmer up at santa house! just warming trend, up north.it will pass says the polar bear! might tell jay it will pass.maybe watch to much TV DC
 
I would not deny that the ice bergs are melting. That is a known fact. The question is whether or not these are normal cycles. The next question is these are not normal cycles then what is causing it. The science is not there to prove that CO2 is a problem, its just a theory that pays well. If Curtis is right about 480 acres being worth 20-30 thousand for offsets then bring it on. I will just collect my 100k a year and raise deer but I still believe it is ********.
 
the way i see it ,it normal if you look at the big pic.this earth been changing since time began.it sorry some have to die, that to been happerning,since time began . it will continue to change! as far im concerned just a passing thing, LONG AS WE DONT GET MUCH HOTTER! OR MUCH COLDER, WE OKIES ,ARE SPOILED! kina like the cwd scare ,to much spent in the wrong direction, and scare tatics,i have to agree it bs if you ask me Dc
 
Here a pic of the snow we had yesterday in north Alabama.. Yahoo news reported there was snow in 49 states yesterday...

the tree huggers pin their ideas to less sea ice being the demise of the Polar Bear, if global warming is killing the polar bears why is their numbers at an all time high?????
 
I wonder which state it didn't snow in......we went to Hawaii in the early 1990's and it snowed while we were there! :eek: Flew from Minnesota to get out of the snow...never figured that we would see snow over there. We came back as white as we left, it rained or was cloudy every day.
 
IKE they say that all 50 states had snow on the ground yesterday maybe the first time ever
 
The History channel is running a show right now about colonizing Mars. I wonder if clover will grow there? I did hear sometime last year that the polar caps on Mars are also shrinking, so it begs the question as to whether man and CO2 emissions have anything at all to do with our current situation.
 
Maybe we can raise whitetails on Mars! Better yet, we could send Al Gore and Obama to Mars to start a colony of liberals. Then we could give the rest of them a one way ticket.
