I had my first two fawns born yesterday here in Alabama. They where live bred to an Elwood son. God I love this time of year. Good luck everyone.

First fawn (alive) this morning. I found a dead one that I think was a miscarriage last week. But this looks like a good strong little PJ buck. Thanks for all the help Jay.

Just got done entering these fawns into the Quest Management Information System! Check em out!

Randy,

Births should be spaced over 45 days. So far we had 5 singles 5 twins and 1 triplet. Hardcore Fawns were lap AI. Single fawns look big and healthy so i'm thankful for that. Any Ideas please share.

Scott, looks like you guys are hitting the jackpot. I noticed one of your does Y-J904 is out of our doe Y 21. She is a great producer and her daughters are starting to show up as great producers also. Power Point of Xtreme Whitetails is out of a Y 21 daughter. I hope your doe will be as well.

Michael,

Like most it does not matter the pedigree but the birth of fawns brings great joy this time of year. Today another local deer farmer delivered King Kong/ king Pin doe fawn. We are practicing all the techniques learned by Fawn Country Whitetails with great success. Go back on her posts this group has their ducks (fawns) in a row. Thanks for your comments on Y21 we purchased this doe from Edwin Ropp. We also have a Maxin Eagle yearling buck fawn out of her. No matter what the pedigree enjoy and share with the youth.

Scott, How is your Maxin Eagle buck looking is he a coming yearling?

Scott, We have been lucky enough to use Maxin Eagle the past 2 yrs as our back up buck on our A/I and for our live covers! Since Edwin has so many large deer to choose from on his farm some never get bred!! Like Maxin A Like He was 300"+ and still didn't get to breed till he was 4 !!! Don't we all wish we had that problem! Edwin Ropp has been a "GREAT " friend to me and my family and as a person to talk with on my "deer plan"! Maxin Eagle scored 231" @ 2 and scored 335"+ @ 3 this year with a 18 3/8" G-2 and looks to be ready to add 100+ inches to his score again this year? Maxin and the number of BIG sons he has produced =vs= very little semen avaiable speaks for it's self! But Scott the true power we believe comes from his bottom side. Dena is Edwins "SUPER DOE" she produces with every breeding,1st son Sunbo 331"+ @4 Maxboson on Dena,2nd son Maxin Eagle 335"+@ 3 Maxin/Dena,1st daughter Maria... dam to WC Cash 291"+ @ 3 Maxbo /Dena, 3rd son a 180"+ yearling Maxin/Dena, Maxin Eagles full brother and nice groups of yearlings are starting to show up this year out of Eagle. Dena is a Eagle (Dean Bontrager) And a doe called Pink 20 on Deans farm out of August 16 (I believe I got all this from my head to screen correctly) I'm told that there were only 4 Eagle daughters born before Eagles early death@2 and he was a BIG typical buck and if you check with Jacob Glick out in Pa. or look at some of his ads you will see what his Eagle daughter is doing! And I think dean Bontrager still has the other 2 ? We have a nice Eagle yearling coming on and will post soon! Also we have a pretty exceptional 2 yr old coming on out of Sunbo (Dena Son)and a Thunder daughter we will be getting you some pixs and info! Sorry for the looooong post Scott but you did ask if i had any info! LOL:D

Another fawn on the ground at noon and one more this evening. 3 so far total. Wow, you all are right this is exciting, I can't wait until morning I think I'm going to go check again in an hour or two (midnight) :)

Wayne,

Thanks for sharing the information on Maxin Eagle. I got a few pictures this afternoon. He's not off to a very good start but hopefully he finishes strong!

Scott, Thanks for the call it was nice talking with you today! He has the pedigree to finish strong. But......................NEVER rule out a Maxin son they ALL seem to really hit thier stride at 3. Keep us posted on his progress!

Wayne,

After reading your post explaining the power on Maxin Eagle I had to call and thank you for taking the time to share and grow my appreciation for the Maxin line. If Quest open space on each breeder buck to post public comments would this help the deer breeders?

Scott

We had our first fawns of the year born a couple of days ago.
