October 21-24, 2010 twelve of our special youth hunters will be traveling to southern Illinois with the hope of harvesting a whitetail deer. This will be our 8th annual deer hunt in Sahara Woods. These special hunters are coming from, Wisconsin, Illinois and Kentucky. Their ages ranges from 9 to 19 years old. Although each hunter had a number of physical challenges and often endured various levels of pain, they always maintain an upbeat attitude as contagious as their smiles.
There will be many caring volunteers and guides putting their hearts into guiding these special youth. The IL DNR has been scoping out Sahara woods and setting up blinds. Taxidermists located near our youth hunters will donate mountings.
There are no words to describe the positive and lasting impact these unforgettable hunting outings have for these special youth. Please keep these special hunters in your prayers! God bless you all.
