This is an antler tree I made. It is from sheds from my deer over the years. It is 6 feet tall, 40 inches across at the bottom, has over 40 different shed sides built into it. There are sides with 8 points, 7, 6 ,5,4 , and from bucks scoring 175+ on down. All antlers that touch each other are screwed together at contact point. All the sheds are cleaned and have no dirt or debris on them so it can be used in any location.....house for Xmas, display at deer sales, bars , hotels, resorts, cabins, stores ,ect. I made a "hauler" for it so it can be wheeled around easily. Just want to price it. Lots of hours of work and layout to make it come out looking like it does. Thanks for suggestions in advance. Jim

The chandelers made of real antler in cabelas sell for thousands, I would imagine the sheds you used are worth close $1000 alone. Then figure your time and the uniqueness of the piece. Hard to say an exact price, I dont want to offend you with a figure because I dont know how much work it was, but it seems like a lot. That said, if it were me I would probably start off asking a minimum af $3500. maybe more, like i said, i dont know exactly how many hours you in it exactly, but your time is worth money, so if you spent a lot of time on it then you should ask a fair price for yourself. if running an ad figure prices on the highside because people always want to talk you down a hundred or more. its nice work, and many people might not have the artistic talent or patience to make one, so dont be afraid to ask them to pay fair, like Split hoof said, it may be pricless to someone. Very Nice Work!

It took many weekends of work..you have to layout and match the individual antlers to each other, have them make a circle , and custom fit each one to the center piece. The size and age of the antlers gets smaller as you go up so you don't have heavy , too big , sized ones on top. I priced it to someone for 2 K last weekend and regret it now but it isn't sold yet either. That is why I am getting your feedback. I made one for a friend that dropped off a bunch of boxes of sheds and said "Make me something." This one I made from my sheds. It is kind of personal to see and recognize your own deer and racks in the tree. It is my own design and I haven't seen another one like it before. So , I hope to get a good price. Thanks for your replys. Jim

Jim,

If that was hanging from the ceiling with lights all over it, it would be worth every bit of 5,000! I haven't priced the real ones, but a 6 foot chandelier out or replicas is around 5,000 on the low end.

Jim,

I am not advertizing for anyone but this is what I found....

" The Appalachian White-tail / Mule Deer Chandelier (70"D x 68-70"H, 22

lights) is $7590 in real antler or $4990 in reproduction.

The smaller version (50-52"D x 53-55"H, 16 lights) is $5990 in real antler or $3990 in reproduction".

Hope this helps with your price!

Well , I think I will adjust the price to $3500.00 . The value is probably higher but this price would work for me now. Thanks for the interest . Jim

That looks awesome ! I know what I can do with all my sheds now. Thats the kind of artificial tree I could go for. Rick

Looks really nice!

Does it come apart? Sections?

What size door would be needed to get it in the house?

You should contact Cabela's, and triple your price!

All kidding aside, have you put on Ebay just to get an idea? You might try putting on there with like a $6K reserve price-might go a lot higher?!

The bottom ring is around 40 inches. I have contacted Cabelas and they design all Christmas displays in the previous Feb. Small window to get in and they didn't get back to me when I sent it at that time. It can be made to come apart. The circles of antlers rotate on pins through the main upright. ....makes it so you can rotate them and get a different look when ever you like. The circles can be "dropped" onto each other to the bottom but doesn't give too much advantage as to getting through narrow doors. A little wrangling and it goes through most doors.

That is the best Christmas tree ever!!! How cool would that look in someones lodge all year long? Congratulations on a great idea.
