I've been watching one of my goats like a hawk. She was as big as a house. Went away for 1/2 hour to help my son and came home to two fine healthy boys. They sure are cute.

As luck would have it I just bought a new camera with a 300 lens so pictures will be taken when it stops raining. But Scott if you want, just send the new camera to the address below. I would like a top of the line Cannon. LOL All kidding a side I just give bar-guard and dip the navel cords in iodine and get the heck out of there and leave the mother alone.

Here are some pictures hope they are the right size. Never put up pictures on here before. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Cool pics jack!!!! Who needs whitetails when you have all kinds of animals to play with!! yeah i know... There has to be a few whitetails in the mix!!!!

I no longer raise pure bighorn as they will not take a challenge of upper respiratory disease. At one time I had a lot of them and then my neighbors domestic sheep came in contact with my sheep at the fence line. Within a week my sheep were sick and in two weeks 90% of them were dead. It is now a proven fact domestic sheep will infect wild sheep with disease and the wild sheep will die.

I now only raise cross breed sheep that I like the looks of. Plus the fact they will have a good immune system. If you wish to try bighorn or any other wild sheep I have semen from wild sheep on Whitetail Exchange. All sheep will cross. Sheep have to be Lap AI'd as cervicle AI will not work well with them.

I don't believe pure Bighorns would do well in Illinois but crosses will live there. I do know of a bighorn breeder in MN and they do well with them. I just went over to the barn and I have a lamb born and expect another (twins). She is a good mother and has raised many lambs in the past. Glad she is in the barn as it is raining cats and dogs out there.

Jack, I will give you a call in a few day's, I sure would be interested in a big horn cross. And I need to order some more A.I. item's any way. All went well with my A.I. this year. So far I am 100% but have two more doe's to go, they were done late and not due untill mid june. Was a bit scared to try it on my own with the price of a few of the straw's that I used but now am glad that I did.

Good to hear your AI went well. I told you you could do it by yourself. Yes we still have AI supplies like PMSG and CIDR's. The good news is I've got another order coming in mid June so we will have more for everyone if they order early. Last minute guys will be running around looking for these products. I really believe Folligon is the best product for AI and will give good results.

Hey thanks everyone I'm glad you all liked the pictures. I just think the goats are great.

Jack, congrats on the kids. They are adorable!!

Is the mother pictured a cross-breed or full blooded mountain goat? What can I cross these with to get kids that look like mountain goats? Will they look like that in 1 generation or will it take two?

Jack, Sorry to say but they will cross with nothing as they are the only one in that family gene wise and nothing will cross with them. You have to buy one.

There are only two breeders in the States, me and the guy I sold a bunch too in Nebraska. And you thought whitetail were expensive.

With that said if anyone knows of someone that raises them please send me their number.
