Had a guy i was working for have a deer rip her front leg up and we found where she did it and took a piece of water hose and cut it long wise and covered the edge where she ripped her leg on the chute fixed that problem and it was cheap

We had one do the same thing not as bad though and it was her front leg. I was thinking about putting something on the inside of our chute. Maybe carpet??? Anyone have any suggestions.

Yoga matt material. I think you might be able to just glue it right on. You can buy Yoga matts pretty cheaply at TJ Maxx and Marshall's. I believe it's made of heavy duty polyurethane (if I'm not mistaken). For the doe's leg, did you give her a pain killer? Some Dex or Banamine? A shot of Excede antibiotic? Some topical creams probably won't work very well, b/c she'll lick 'em right off, but I'd give her a little help if she were mine. Makes me feel bad for her. Is there some kind of topical disinfectant that can be applied? Like Vetericyn spray (available at TSC).

yes, all was taken care of,caught it to late to stich it up, She keeps it clean and has no limp from it.She is bottle fed and i feed her treats and look at it. My vet said to leave it alone, but i still spray it with vet spray
