A big thank you goes out to Matt Anthony of Anthony Whitetails on his donation for the NYDEFA Fundraiser. Matt has generously donated a youth hunt for a child age 10-18 during the month of October. The hunt includes clothing for the child, the hunt and a lot of memories. What more could you ask for. The child will get an opportunity of a lifetime and a chance to make their dreams come true. Be sure to go to www.whitetailexchange.com to place your bid today.

Can't wait to get them out here in the woods. I've got a lot of calls on this and if anyone knows a child that deserves this you should be bidding. Give me or mike a call if you have any questions

We have been getting a ton of calls on this and I want to give everybody a little more info. The child will have the opportunity to shoot a nice management buck or doe or maybe a buck and a doe depending on how it goes. This isnt just going to be a doe hunt. He or She is going to get the full experience.

Please give me a call with any more questions

Also here is our first hunt of the season. This was her first deer ever and she used a Mathews compound! We filmed it and she made a perfect shot. It was a very exciting hunt and im glad she chose AWR!

Thanks guys

As the winner of this great donation from Matt I am here to say the young lady from my church is very excited to harvest her first ever buck. I plan on taking many good photos and maybe a video if I can of this and I will post them on here for all to see. This is a great opportunity for her and I want to thank Matt personally for donating this, it is something we all should do more of, getting youth involved in high fenced hunting, they are our future so we should look to invest in them and maybe they in turn will return more to us. Educate when they are impressionable not wait until they hear nothing we say. Thanks again Matt and we will see you soon.

I cant wait for Sunday Henry! It is going to be a great hunt. It will be something she never forgets and you are a great guy for buying that for her. Cant wait for her to get her hands on something!

Yesterday I had accompanied a girl from my church on the youth hunt Matt Anthony donated to the NY auction and man did she have a great time. She was able to harvest her first ever buck and he certainly was a nice buck for anyones first buck. Matt also allowed her to harvest a doe as well and she was just overwhelmed. Matt certainly outdid himself and I for one appriciate it as did Megan. Matt was by Megans side the whole time and I, well lets just say I was the dog, LOL. I will tell those who have never hunted in a high fenced area to come along with me and I will show them just how uneasy it really can be. We scored the buck and he went 124 2/8", not bad at all. The weather was nice and cool for the strat but it did get to a comfortable 50's by mid day. We seen lots of nice deer at Matts place and I am even going back for a doe hunt next month and who knows, maybe a buck if the price is right. As part of the hunt Matt donated he was going to supply gear for the youth kid but Megan already has some but what she did not have anymore since loosing it in the flood last year was a rifle so Matt graciously offered to get he one, now that was awesome and Megan was left almost speechless. After we left and Megan calmed down she wanted to call Matt to say thank you properly since she was in shock over the events of the day and then the rifle to top it all off. I give Matt credit for his word, great hunt and experience and for his caring for kids, it was just a great filled day. I took a few photos and I hope you enjoy them as I did taking them. Again, AWESOME job Matt.

Wow, what a super day you guy's and gal had!! I do not know Matt personally, but what a great man he must be, Job well done.

Henry it was a great time and I cant wait to have you guys back. I really enjoy guiding and watching hunters have a great time. I have to say of all the children come and hunt she is one of the best shots we have had. Both the buck and doe were challenging shots and she put them in there perfect. Thanks again Henry for buying that lot and creating memories for all three of us.

I would like to invite anyone out there that has a child over here. We have a bunch of doe that could be shot. If you give me a call we will work something out and I guarantee they will have a blast.

Thanks for the kind words

I have been to Matt's new preserve, Matt took me and Travis (Freedom Whitetials on these forums) for a truck ride to view a few feilds of corn and alfalfa that were planted inside the preserve for the deer to enjoy....it was late evening and getting dark and the fields quickly began to come alive with deer, just very enjoyable to watch them all out feeding. From what i got to see of it, Matt's preserve is beautiful, very spacious with all types of terrain, pines, and hardwoods, no doubt a beautiful place to enjoy a hunt. I would recommend it! Great job Henry and Matt for allowing a youth to have a very special day out in the feild!!
