The spread contest became a bust as Loverboy decided to shed his his antlers super early this year! Many who have visited my farm put him over the 30" IS mark but I guess we'll never truly know... I gave him a modest 28.5 IS and recently scored the sheds at 246 7/8...! Not bad for a big typical! The industry has gotten lost in the 300" & 400" yearlings but for those who want spread and typical antlers, Loverboy's got it! We recently drew him and the semen was rated excellent!

Hope one one those 300 or 400 inch yearlings get lost at my place this summer. lol The difference of the yearlings now a days is like Jumbo and many more is they have Frame, Width and also the inches to pay the bills. The bar goes up and up every year!!

I think this contest is over...due to the buck dropping his antlers to soon before he could be measured...MCWLLC
