Biggest fawn birthing day so far. Today we had two sets of triplets, two sets of twins and one single. Six were born in the same pen pretty close together, so we were glad to witness enough to know who belongs to who!:D I am thankful it was a beautiful day in central PA, too!

Another set of fawns born tonight. Twin bucks from a cross I really like. I actually wanted one of each so I could add a doe from this cross to the herd. Good thing I have 1 more straw of Aces Up in the tank so I can do this cross over again! :)

Aces Up / Updraft / GD Big Sir / Flees' Harry on Flees' Bart's full sister.

The Harry on Bart's full sister doe is G-19 the mother to Dream Cardiac and also Wild Cardiac.

Thanks for looking :)

P.S. I thought I should add that Winnie in this pedigree has a yearling buck on the farm who is really looking special so far this summer.

That is a big day. Congrats!

I had fawns Saturday morning, Sunday morning, and this morning another doe was in labor, she didn't have yet, but will by morning. I am half done. I always prefer to be done by June. but I have a few old gals that always fawn in mid June, plus my one and only doe fawn I kept from last year looks like she is getting a belly on her, that will be a late June fawn. I am thankful for nice dry (but a little chilly) weather, I know some of you guys are really battling bad fawning weather, I've been there too, it sucks. Good Luck.

I had twin buck fawns out of my pied doe who was bred to bad company (sire is Lakota) one of these is white and one is brown. Another buck fawn was born today with Lakota 4 times in his genetic backround.

Jim, if I remember right, you had a crazy number of buck fawns compared to doe fawns last year. Just wondering how you are doing this year.

Ammunition is doing it again 14 fawns all bucks but 2 I am thinking of selling semen out of him and guaranteeing bucks! My other breeder buck is 50 % How have you been, Dream boat died this last fall, My family misses her she was a sweetheart and a producer! JIM

Sorry to hear about Dreamboat, Jim. That has to hurt. We just lost our longest owned doe, Mattie, a Peach daughter who raised great looking bucks. We had her 13 years and losing her was not easy. We are at 10 does and 8 buck fawns. We still have Suzy who is Avalanche's mother. She is 14 and gave us a single doe fawn this year. She is on the bottle and very sweet. We did our first AI'ing last fall and have 2 Primetime buck fawns and a buck and a doe out of Flees JR. Both mamas are solid Flees does which makes us very happy. Good luck the rest of the way.

we are having mostly doe Fawns this year. we had 10 does fawn so far and had 4 buck fawns and 14 Doe fawns. Three more does to go hoping the rest will be buck fawns:eek:

we will have some fawns or open does for sale if anybody is interested check out our website. click on Breeding program to see full pedigrees of fawns.

Seems like it usually evens out in the end - bucks vs does. We usually have a few more buck fawns than does. Are expecting around 250.
