I woke up to a nice surprise this morning. My first fawns ever were on the ground. 2 buck fawns and I couldn't be happier. Now I will have one longggg year waiting to see what they will look like.

Aw! That's great, now keep those boys safe! The best part is watching their antlers grow!

Very Nice...Good luck with the 2 buck fawns...I bet they will grow a lot of bone on their heads with that pedigree.

I still remember my first fawns 7 years ago now, It was awesome then, and its still awesome seeing fawns today...I love it. Congrats on your buck fawns, I like their pedigree.

Well I was saying I am finally a deer farmer yesterday after my first two fawns were born (the 2 bucks).

But I guess today it is official!! one of the buck fawns somehow got through the fence in another pen that had elk in it and thats never good.

Finally my last fawn of the came.

I think her name will have to be stormy or something along those lines. She was born in a thunderstorm and her first 20 hours of life the rain wouldn't let up. I've been leaving them on the mom for about 48 hours but I had to pull this little girl and wrap her up to dry her and warm her up.

she let me hold her for 2 1/2 hours and went I put her down she didn't want to leave my side.
