That yrling is out of Reno/Hoss doe. Breed to one of my dads 3 yr olds r-1 he is quickly becoming one of the best producing deer we ever used. He is lonewood bred to a Reno daughter out of my dad green 5 which green five is a half sister to wildmans mother. Green 5 has grew my farther as many consistent big sons as any doe we have ever raised and now her sons are even doing it. And pushing 15 plus inch tines .heres a picture of red-1 at 3 yrs old . He grossed in the high 260s with a 6x6 frame at 230s. So he's double Barkley young and double Mark sipes(Reno) and lonewood threw in. I'm really excited about him. I have been raising deer with my farther since a was a little kid and have watched everything change and get crazy in the last 15 yrs but one thing I have watched and learned is that Reno paved the road to growing huge deer. First 200 inch yearling . And he never got his chance or praise because of antler Injuries even on marks farm he didn't always get spoiled with the best does. But yet years later he's still poping up and growing huge deer everywhere thru his sons and daughters . I know it's tuff to say this in a world full of huge deer and lots of good producers . But hands down Reno is the best all around producing deer in my book. There's a reason I'm growing the biggest yrling I ever grew and its Reno! Thanks Mark! And thanks Reno!
