When I arrived at the farm today I noticed that one of my 2 year olds has started to rub his antlers and by tomorrow should be clean. Is anyone else seeing the same thing? Sorry about the quality of the pic,it was overcast and I was using my i-phone.

Yep. Had a two year old start rubbing 3 days ago he got all bloody then stopped rubbing

Yep, it's starting here in KY! Had some tips showing yesterday and he was about half way today.

No antler rubbing yet, but I did notice a couple of our does on the farm back east that were starting to change to winter coats last week already.

The earliest I ever had one rub out was August 15th one year. This year it looks like over half of my bucks still have a week or two of growing to do yet, their tips are still pretty clumped up and pumping blood.

I did have a two year old buck bump the fence this past weekend are rip some velvet in a couple spots, I thought I would have to dart him and clean it, but it dried up fast and healed. I know he is close to finishing up.

Glad to see some others are seeing alittle rubbing, kinda had me worried because it was so early. Jarrid I bet 60% of our deer have started there winter coats, I hope it isn't a sign of a long winter ahead...lol

Had to strip the velvet on one 3 weeks ago this coming Friday. Plan on selling so didn't want to cut. He's doing great but he was the first to shed last year and he hadn't grown for probably 3 weeks.
