Thanks Mike, Just a reminder to everyone that bids close tonight on Whitetail Exchange at 8:00 pm. The Illinois Deer Farmers Association needs support with these bids, we are losing a good number of farms due to 2 years in a row of this EHD outbreak. 95% of our budget goes to our lobby fund which was instrumental last year in defeating HB3118 in committee. Thank you to all who have donated and bid on these items.

This is my 3rd try at this and I'm getting mad at this labtop. BOTTOM LINE IS BECKY AND GREG WILL BE HIGHLY MISSED AND THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK OVER THE PAST FEW YEARS. THE MEETING AND AUCTION WAS GREAT!!! MATT, YOU GOT A HUGE SET OF BOOTS TO FILL BUT WILL ALL KNOW YOU CAN DO IT.. THANKS TO ALL THAT SUPPORT ILDFA!! CONGRATS ALSO TO THE NEW BOARD MEMBERS... DEBBIE, BILL AND PHILLIP... HERE WE COME 2014!!!

Thanks to everyone that supported the auction. Also thanks to Greg, Doc Shipley, and everyone that allowed me to be a part of it. You had a great sale.

I would like to thank everyone that had any part in this years annual meeting and fundraiser. Big or Small, donation or buyer, with out everyone's help we couldn't have made it happen.

I would also like to personally thank Bill Mayes for his auction services! We had our best auction and raised more money than we have in many years. With Bill's knowledge and talent our auction went smooth and kept everyone's attention.

I have to thank Greg Mills for the outstanding job he has done as President of ILDFA. Greg has served the Illinois deer farmers very well and has left his seat as president in great shape. My job as the next president will be very easy because of the job Greg has done. Now I can't forget to thank Mrs. Becky for keeping Greg in line and all the other behind the scene things she has done to help the association. By the way, you two are not done I will be calling and asking for help! Lots of Help!

Greg and Becky are great people and if you haven't you need to take a look at Their farm and see all the great animals they are producing.

Phil Johnson finished his term and stepped down as a board member this year. Phil has been a board member for many years and even served as president for a term. Phil has been on the board almost from the beginning of the association and he will be missed.

Dan Painter also decided to step down. Dan has been instrumental in collecting donations for ILDFA for the last 5 or more years. Dan is also one of the main reasons the auction had some of the best items that I have seen since I started attending.

I also welcome new board members Debbie Elledge, Phillip Schlabach, and Bill Dearing. We look forward to working with these three fine people.

Last I would like to think the members of the association for putting your trust in me. I look forward to serving as your president and I hope I can help ILDFA continue to grow stronger and larger.

Thank You

Congrats Matt. Sounds like some folks have seen something in you that they like and they trust you to bring that Assoc.forward. Good Luck!

I think your state will be important in the fight by us on cwd and penned cervids. I believe your state is the only state that has cwd in the wild but never behind fence. Ask some how this could be seeing that its only deer farms moving cwd and they trip up a bit.

Dwight Grosz said:
Mike,

Make that two. North Dakota has had three cases of CWD in the wild. Not one behind high fence.

Thats great, Didnt know that! Does anyone know just how many states have farms with no cwd but that do have it in the wilds?
