Thanks for all the nice comments. The real credit goes to Mike Nedry of AGN Whitetails. We just appreciate the opportunity to purchase and use such a great deer. THANKS MIKE!
I think Timberjack will make it pretty easy! He may push 450. I saw Maxbo XL last Thursday and he is huge also. I couldn't even guess which one is bigger. I just feel very lucky to be able to watch Timberjack everyday!
Nope DC things are going to swing towards the clean typicals.....then you will see a rush to grow them out as big as they can make them....I think the problem is those that are using the "lets just call it magic dust" I believe are going to have trouble with getting the clean typicals as I think the magic dust makes them sprout lots of points regardless of their geetic background......i might be wrong but time will tell.
Hats off to all you guys, all i know it gonna take a monster to hold up the mass these bucks been growing! gonna have to breed for backbone and muscle.to carry on!DC
Sam i dont think he is all that miserable, i do think he resting, i only hope i have one someday i gotta cut soon as can to add little relief, im sure they build neck miuscle, awsome, Huge, Big, he got it all.Dc
So Nick do you think Maxbo Xl will make it ? I seen a current picture of him at the show this past weekend and he is alot bigger now then what is on the website. He is unreal. I don't know of a deer that can beat him right now. But there is still alot of time left. We will see
Richie0033, If I had to guess based only on the pictures I have saw. I would say Maxbo XL and Sudden Impact are the biggest two. I think Bam Bam, Timberjack, and Grand Canyon are all also very close. I enjoy looking at all of them and think they are all fantastic. I think we will have more than one buck break the old record this year. I guess we will see who is the new #1 in a month or so. I enjoy looking at any buck my favorite are those huge framed typicals like Hardcore and Picket. These are only my thoughts and nothing more.
Thank you Sam for the time you spent with me when I was there and allowing me to view your magnificent animals.. I have only seen pictures of the huge deer previously mentioned except for Timberjack. I can also say that he is feeling fine and has more antler on his head that I have ever seen anywhere. This is not even mentionig the passdown he is showing in the Marty Gras does as well as numerous others.I do not feel that Timberjack has gotten his due respect......but I do feel that may soon change. Good luck Sam in your pursuit of that world record. If you have not been to see Sam's farm ,you should make the time..... It will leave a lasting impression!!!Lance Elledge of Crossroads Whitetails
We put Rold Gold down lastnight.. all my! that deer is huge this year. We had him officially scored at 410" with growing to do! We think he should put on another 20-30 more inches. He had an unbelievable amount of bone that looks great. He had a g1 and g2 that exceeded 16". Rold Gold also put out an impressive 62 1/2 inches of mass with absolutely no palmation or webbing just true round beam antler. He lost a little weight probably due to pushing that much antler so we decided to put him down and treat with some fluids and antibiotics.
Anyone have any new Maxbo XL pictures. Just wondered how he finished this year. I guess we will have a new record score this year. I just wonder which deer was the biggest. I hate the fact we lost a couple giant bucks this year they will be missed.
i think that Sudden Impact is going to be the biggest. He was offically scored at 493" @3. He is a record even if there is a buck that goes over 493". He was the record yearling, two year old and as of now the record 3 yr old. Great buck Flees!
