Ohio Gun Season.

Tomorrow is the opening day of Ohio's gun season. I was a little out of loop now you can use straight walled rifles. I wonder if a lot of guys will be using them or just sticking with there shotguns. I prefer my muzzleloader I use it all gun season.

Well good luck if anyone is going out tomorrow. Be safe I've bumped into some real winners hunting public land.

Same here. Deer opens tommorrow. I have to work. First opening day I missed in over 20 years....

I prefer the Alabama season. Opens the weekend before Thanksgiving and closes February 10th. I can hunt when it is convenient.

Wisconsin's season closed today. Rifle season starts the Saturday before Thanksgiving and goes until the Sunday after. Now there is a 10 day muzzleloader season. Overall kill was down this year. We had a hard winter last year and there was a lot of deer loss. There are something like 700,000 deer hunters in WI during the nine day season.

I got an email a while back "Americas Hidden Army". It had the number of deer hunters in each state listed. You would not believe how many when you start tallying up state to state. Now figure each one owns a gun. Probibly more than one.

PA had 1.3 million hunters in 1998. Last year in 2013 we had 952,000. The orange army is still alive an well in PA! Although, I'm almost exclusively an archery hunter, I do like to see the solid numbers.

Decline was probably due to CWD :lol:
