I had the pleasure of watching 2 does 1 a 2 yr old and 1 a 7 yr old. Lay down not 3' apart and give birth to 7 fawns total. Niether doe moved away from one another............Just the opposite they helped clean and nurse each others fawns for over an hour even helping clean each other up and eating each others afterbirth!
I sat in amazement as they went about this shared birth. I was about 15' from them sitting on a bucket! Wish i would have had my video camera.
I guess thank goodness for DNA!
