Say you get $1000 for a straw of semen what should you expect to get for a live breeding?

Really so it will cost more to have live breed(1 deer) than to buy straw and mabey breed (3 deer) Wow that would not be the biggest bang for you buck thats for sure. Semen drawn is hard on buck plus semen handling and the straws they use and the vets time = money. To open the gate and let a doe in with your buck????? I must be missing something here!!!!
If a bucks semen commands $1000 per straw, Im thinking hes going to have a bunch of live breeding to do. So its hardly a matter of just swinging the door open. A live cover is a better percentage than ai. Splitting straws can be chancey too. All told, the live breeding should be worth more than the straw to the recipient, at least.
You should expect to get what ever you and the guy you are dealing with feel is fair. What ever anyone else thinks that should not matter.
