i was thinking about ******l AIing 4 of this years doe fawns around the 24th of the month of DEC has anyone tried this in the past with any success

I ask the same question a few week's ago with little response. But I did get a pm from one farm that has had great success doing it. I plan to ai my fawn's that were born in May and are good size already. We will do 6 fawn's, ******l ai. I have never done them before so I cant say how it will go but I doubt that there will be any problem's.

My only suggestion would be to make sure you have a very small speculum. I have AI'd some really small does that just as well could have been called fawns. My advice would be to take it really slow especially when pushing the speculum through the pelvis, you should notice a tightening around the speculum just before going past the pelvis. As soon as you make it past the pelvis your ease up on the pressure and gently guide the speculum up to the cervix. From there on out its not much different from a yearling to a 5yr old veteran. Good luck to you both! Keep us posted on your success.
