Right now they will run over you with the fawn distress call and the pup distress call.

I agree....i have never seen coyotes that look like that.....Brett are you sure they are coyotes....i am certian they are wild........maybe Jerry is right about the feral dogs.... never heard of these dogs before......where is their range?
We call them coydogs around here. The dnr intoduced them about 25 years ago to help control the overpopulation of coyotes. The idea being that these coydogs would be sterile. Oops! Guessed wrong again. Now we have a big coyote that has less fear of humans have bigger litters than the coyote that was originally here. Their coloration varies more than the coyote does too as we sometimes get one that is very dark. This ranks right up there with the planting of multi flora rose and autumn olive that are now considered major nusience weeds as they are taking over everything. Thats what happens when your state agency are run by political appointees instead of actual wildlife biologist. Rick
I think your right there on the coydog being bred with a domestic dog however they usually end up looking more like the coyote because of stronger genes in the wild dog like a wolf or coyote. There was a big german shepard running with some young coyotes a few years back around here. He was finally shot but now we have a big coydog that looks much like the one pictured above leading a pack. He is smart and nobody has gotten a shot at him, yet.

I am not sure what they are mixed with around here. We have natural colored and black ones are common. This is the first ones I have seen with white on them. All I know is if they come to the call I shoot them! They can't accuse me of discriminating, I shoot whatever comes to the distress calls. You should try the calls, they work good here.
I don't know what they were but a few years ago I called in a group of six I'm assuming coy dogs and actually killed five of the six. Don't think they were coyotes but the five that were taken had no collars and six dogs with no collars could cause a lot of trouble.

I thought a collar was something to aim at. I am way out to myself and I mean way out. Nearest neighbor about 5 miles. If they want their pets they better not let them roam to far. We don't have that green card junk here. Can't say I have ever seen one but if he comes running through the bushes to a call he would be wise to be hollering.
