Last night i got a call from my neighbor and its usually just random talking when i talk to him. But last night was different he sounded upset then he proceded to tell me the lady next door to me just called him and said she found a dead body hanging from a tree in the State park directly behind our three houses. The article i have attached says over a mile but from where the neighbor lady discribed where she found the woman it aint but a quater of a mile off the edge of my deer pen. Makes you wonder what was so bad in someones life to do something like this. http://timesonline.com/articles/2009/05/01/news/doc49fa537f33780206298813.txt

It's tough to tell what would drive someone to such a thing. The bizzare part for me while I was reading this is that there were just 2 different suicides within 5 miles of my home in the past week. That's a lot considering where I live. We are out in the country with a fairly small population. The one guy was barely over 1 mile from my house. Very sad.

Wow 27 years old and to throw your life away....just doesn't make sense to me.......I'm 44 years old and have had many hard times in my life but never ever even thought Death was a better option than living.......these people have no hope in their life they are missing God and that is the only reason I can think of that they take their lives......very sad!!

It's tough to imagine what may drive another human being to go to such extreme measures, but I honestly believe that it comes down to two basic components. Perspective and faith. If you have neither of these then I guess I can see how someone may look to such a dramatic end as a way out.

Perspective lets a person realize and know one thing... there's always someone out there that has it tougher than I do! Faith lets a person realize that everything happens for a reason and that ultimately, we are not in control.

I'm not claiming by any means to have the answers... but I know that those two things have helped me through some tough times.
