I know its been brought up every year but i thpught id share my experience with kaitlyn gendeer.
She grew buttons as a yearling and now as a 2yr old she grew a nice 4x3.
A lot of people told me id have to cut her antlers cuz they would not produce hard antler.
Well yesterday kaitlyn went ahead and shed that velvet and is sporting a pretty nice set of bone lol.
She didnt fawn this year but ill try and breed her again this fall.
Do ypu guys think shell shed her rack and continue to grow bigger.

Just thought id add her pedigree

Sometimes they have enough boy parts, and look like a doe but never produce fawns. all you or the buck can do is try...

I have 3 does that grow antlers and NONE of them shed velvet! They all have fawns and are great mothers! I have been told that if they do get hard horn they will have a difficult time getting pregnant Good luck JIM
